MyDocPay Pty Ltd ("MyDocPay", "we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting the privacy of individuals, including patients, healthcare providers, and partner practices. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, disclose, and store personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
MyDocPay is a healthcare payment platform that facilitates real-time, compliant payments for Medicare-eligible services, operating in partnership with medical providers and practices.
2. Scope
This policy applies to all personal information collected and held by MyDocPay in relation to:
- Patients enrolled in Complete Pay or Together Pay programs
- Healthcare Providers registered with MyDocPay
- Medical Practices participating in our integration and terminal systems
3. What Information We Collect
We collect and hold personal information necessary for the performance of our services, including:

· - Full name, date of birth, Medicare number, concession card details
· - Contact details (e.g. phone, address, email)
· - MBS item numbers and clinical context of services rendered
· - Medicare rebate details and payment information
· Providers and Practices:
· - Provider name, registration number, ABN
· - Practice details, bank details, integration credentials
· - Billing activity related to MyDocPay transactions
4. How We Use Your Information
We use your personal information only for the following authorised purposes:
- Processing healthcare payments, including Medicare claims and gap payments
- Coordinating transactions with your healthcare provider or practice
- Generating remittances and reconciling billing data
- Performing compliance checks and fraud prevention
- Supporting technical and billing inquiries
We do not use your personal information for secondary purposes, including advertising, profiling, or resale.
5. Data Disclosure and Sharing
We only share personal information when necessary to deliver our services or where required by law. Third parties include:
- Medicare / Services Australia
- Stripe Payments Australia Pty Ltd
- Your healthcare provider or nominated practice
- Legal or regulatory authorities when compelled by law
6. Consent
Patient consent is obtained when signing up for Together Pay or Complete Pay and agreeing to PDS and Terms and Conditions. Practice and provider consent is incorporated into onboarding documentation and financial mandates.
7. Data Security and Retention
We store personal information securely with encryption and access control. Measures include:
- Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
- Role-based access control
- Audit logs
Data is retained as required by law and deleted or anonymised when no longer needed.

9. Overseas Disclosure
MyDocPay does not currently disclose personal information overseas. If this changes, we will comply with APP 8.

11. Updates to this Policy
